Imagine Fashion is a fantastic website I want all my wasps to check out! Founded by Fashion Editor Amber Gordon (FT How To Spend It, Harper's Bazaar) who made the decision to move away from a print background to pioneer her own project, Imagine Fashion isn't your average fashion-centric space on the internet.

The site features interactive fashion films made by the Imagine Fashion editorial team, where you can click on pop-up credits and be directed straight to the designers site to instantly purchase the clothes/make up seen on screen. There is also a section on the site called 'Windows' which posts images of boutique window displays all over the world. The latest of which showcases Hanneli Rupert's shop in cape town, daughter of Johann Rupert, CEO of Richemont (which, among many other big names, owns Cartier, Dunhill, Montblanc, Chloe and Jaeger-Le Coultre).

The latest film from the Imagine Fashion team is 'Matchstick girl' which they describe as "a daring, digital take on the most ancient of Storytelling." - which I admit, had me pretty much sold. But I've attached the accompanying press release to tempt you further into the world of Imagine Fashion and their fantastic interactive films!

Prepare for a fairytale invasion this Summer. Fashion does folklore with Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White, The Red Shoes and Pinocchio reinventing fables for the Twilight generation. Vanity Fair celebrates fantasy fashion in an editorial homage to the weird and wonderful characters of children’s storybooks.

For interactive fashion film platform Imagine Fashion, the resurgence of all things enchanting signals an opportunity to revive the oldest form of narrative for the digital generation; bringing fairytale to facebook and beyond. Welcome to the future of fashion- Imagine Fashion’s new interactive film ‘Matchstick Girl.’

Directed by Dusan and Hilde Reljin, and styled by Antje Winter, the film plays with the dark side of Hans Christian Anderson’s classic story to create a short narrative film that captures an enchanting and unsettling beauty. Sexy, surreal and sinister, The Little Match Girl applies Imagine Fashion’s bold, uncompromising approach to fashion film to the fairytale narrative. Elfin Norwegian model Siri Tollerod stars as the little match girl, adorned in street urchin chic by Chanel, Celine, Jil Sander, Jean Paul Gaultier and Prada.

In this day and age the internet is all about integration and making your life easier, so what's better than setting your eyes on an awesome piece of fashion in a fancy film which two seconds later at a click of your mouse can find itself in your shopping basket.
I leave you with a few words from Amber herself
“I think in the digital space there is the potential for creative media and e-commerce to live as one. It is exactly for this reason that Imagine Fashion exists. The inspirational beauty of editorial with the immediate gratification and benefit of all things digital.” Amber Gordon, Founder and Editor in Chief of Imagine Fashion.
