I'm not sure how I should feel about my beloved April Ludgate disrobing in the new issue of GQ. Yes, Aubrey Plaza is headlining her first big film, one in which her character decides to lose her virginity before going to college, and yes, part of her job as a Hollywood actress is to promote the film to humans. The more bums on seats she attracts, the better chance there is of you and I seeing Aubrey Plaza's rare blend of morose deadpan-style comedy on the big screen, more often.
This just isn't fun for me. The pictures are nice, Aubrey looks great, and who knew she had such a rocking body under that awkward demeanour she carries so well?! But maybe that's the problem: my problem with this. I just didn't need her to go there.
That is unless Aubrey Plaza planned this all along, to make me feel awkward and uncomfortable and weirded out by the sight of her in a bikini? If that is the case then I am totally onboard with this spread and apologise for not giving you enough credit.
