Lena Dunham is the cover star of American Vogue's February issue and was photographed for the momentous occasion by Annie Leibovitz. Which is great. It really is. And Lena looks amazing wearing pieces from Alexander McQueen, Prada, and Dolce & Gabbana. But am I being all kinds of bi-polar in thinking that the GIRLS actress looks like she has been photoshopped into every image in this spread?
Don't get me wrong, this isn't me throwing a blob of casual shade in the direction of Dunham. It's just this photograph of her and co-star Adam Driver crossing the road looks all kinds of cut n' paste suspicious.
Or maybe that's exactly the look Vogue wanted for this editorial and I am looking at these images exactly how they are meant to be viewed. I just think that in this case, less would have given us a whole lot more, and had this editorial been presented in a less fantastical fashion by Annie it would have worked a lot better on the page. But then it wouldn't be very Vogue then, I suppose.
