Not much to see here, wasps! There be no tragedy going on here! Paloma " Please Never Change" Faith will release her third album, A Perfect Contradiction, on 3rd March. The utterly bonkers singer has always been known for her kooky sense of style and unapologetic approach to bucking trends right, left and centre, but as we enter this new Paloma Faith era all the fashion stars seem to be aligning for the stunning chanteuse. Take this album cover for example:
Has Paloma just committed 2014's first pop culture crime by upstaging Gaga's Jeff Koons-designed ARTPOP album cover? Not quite. But this is much better than Katy Perry's Ryan McGinley-shot Prism cover, Miley's multiple Miami Vice-inspired Bangerz covers, and this:
This still makes me sad on multiple levels.
Let's cleanse ourselves with another breathtaking Paloma promo image...
This gorgeous bitch is the Paloma who is seen standing behind all the "basic bitch" Paloma's on the album cover - refusing to get her hands dirty. So she must be super important. It also looks as if she might be reluctant to tell us something? But sadly we don't have time for her games as we want to watch regular Paloma bitch out a boy whose done her wrong in the new music video for the first single off her new album, Can't Rely on You.
Loves a nice music video budget that allows for gorgeous sets and a Pharrell-sponsored beat.
Paloma and her Palomacronies seem to be doing everything right so far, and we are only three quarters of the way through January! What the hell is February going to bring us? Effortlessly spoken Japanese? Your guess is as good as mine. But I am well excited for whatever this pint-sized vixen wants to pull out of her headdress and fling my way! Photography by David Standish
