Who am I with this subject heading? The Upworthy?! David LaChapelle's new exhibition, Land Scape, is made up of two series called Refineries and Gas Stations, and that is exactly what he has photographed for display at the Paul Kasmin Gallery.
Having taken a break from fashion to tackle more important subject matter like "saving the world", David has created elaborate sets from cardboard and recycled materials, transported them to amazing locales like Maui and the coastlines of California, and then photographed his undeniably beautiful creations tarnishing their beautiful surroundings.
Only LaChapelle could get me excited over the prospect of a book - please make this happen - which is made up of photographs of refineries and gas stations. This man is my everything.
Land Scape will be displayed at the Paul Kasmin Gallery until 1st March.
