Goodness Gracious is the latest single off Ellie Goulding's sophomore album Halcyon Days, which was recently spray painted and re-released with some super fun chart worthy songs added to the already accomplished tracklist. Directed by Kinga Burza, the video for GG sees Ellie and a group of friends giving it large around Hollywood in shiny fashion and glowing kicks! But don't be tricked into thinking this is a happy song.
As Ellie Explains; “The song is about liking someone enough that you keep wanting them back in your life, calling them all the time, texting them all the time, that kind of thing,” Ellie expressed. “But really its not that deep. You kind of acknowledge that you’re being unfair to someone and you start to become frustrated with yourself. The songs lyrics are kind of darker and have a darker meaning but I wanted the video to be bright and bold.” That's proper deep, Ellie. Best not to read too much into the lyrics wasps and instead spend the next four minutes coveting Ellie's sparkly jacket and respectable dance moves.
