Garçon Model Underwear partners with Brazilian charity for 2014 World Cup

With the 2014 World Cup kicking off in a matter of days, underwear brand Garçon Model have announced a collaboration with Brazilian charity Grupo Ruas e Praças.

During the month of the World Cup Garçon Model are donating all profit from their Brazil national flag trunks to raise money to support the street kids of World Cup host city Recife affected by drugs, gangs, prostitution and violence.

Photographer and filmmaker Klaus Thymann recently visited the city to document the courage of the children that the money raised will go to help.

I've never quite understood how the powers that be can justify the amount of money that is spent on hosting a global event such as the World Cup when money could be better spent closer to home, so I am all for Garçon Model's uber generous pledge.

The Garçon Model Brazil Trunks retail at $34 / £22 / €26 and can be ordered from between 12th June 13th July for donations to go to Grupo Ruas e Praças.
